D&K Coating Technologies, Inc. is a sister company of D&K Group Inc., which has been manufacturing and marketing worldwide, their extrusion coated thermal films and trademark laminating equipment. D&K Coating Technologies specializes in custom coating & toll coating of high-tech pressure sensitive applications utilizing state-of-the-art slot die and gravure coating capabilities.
Packaging Roll Labeling: D&K’s standard roll labeling
Shipping Shipping Documentation: D&K will fax or E-mail a master roll shipping list after product leaves the plant.
Incoming Raw Materials Specifications: 40” OD; 2000# max. weight.
Process Control D&K’s 1999, state-of-the-art, coater contains all of the “bells and whistles”, including fiber optic PLC controls. These controls regulate all coating operations, including tension, speed, temperature, air flows, oven pressure, rate of evaporation, and roll size. In addition, D&K has a beta scanner that continuously measures coat weight application, allowing for precision adjustments to the coating die to provide consistent coating thickness profile throughout manufacturing.
Quality Assurance Incoming Raw Material Specification: After a raw material has been specified, D&K will accept the raw materials based on suppliers Certification of Insurance. Quality characteristics of raw materials will be randomly checked. If discrepancies are found, the rate of inspections will increase.
Final Product Sampling D&K will perform QA testing on every master roll until process capability has been demonstrated - typically 30 master rolls. After process capability has been achieved, testing frequency will be reduced to every third roll.

Certificate of Analysis: Available within 7 days after run. Retains: 3 cross web samples from the end of each roll stored for 2 years. Roll Report: Each roll will include a roll report in the packing list. Defect Map: Each roll will include a Defect Map (1D or 2D) in the packing list. Yield Report: Within 7 days after completion of each run, a yield report & material inventory report will be sent to you.
